Where is Coach Tom Miller today?

Coach Tom Miller played 3 sports at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, including being an all-conference selection in golf in 1967. He was elected to the Athletic Hall of Fame in 1983. In 2000, Tom was picked by Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) to launch its NCAA Division I men’s and women’s golf programs. At BSC, he was named 2003 Women’s National Coach of the Year for Independent Colleges and Universities. His men’s and women’s teams provided numerous tournament victories and individual medalists’ awards, including three all-conference players, two NCAA Division I All-America Scholars, one ESPN Academic All-American and one Big South Conference Freshman of the Year.

Tom has traveled all over the country discovering and recruiting college golfers and is an invaluable resource to individuals aspiring to college golf.

He has now relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and, via collegegolf101.com, is helping high school students realize their dream of college golf. He is hooking up with forward-thinking private schools such as Cambrian International Academy to make their sports advisory programs comprehensive.

College sports and the recruiting process that goes with them have turned out to be outrageously competitive. But there are still opportunities for students who take a unique approach to getting spotted early on. Choosing a high school that will support students in a unique approach is critical to securing the best opportunities in college sports.

Search High School Golf Programs to find out more-and don’t forget to ask about how well their academic departments work with their sports departments to make sure that you get the best of both worlds. Your golf scholaship opportunities may depend on it.
