Where do you think my family can take a vacation in august?

I live in Las Vegas, dont know if that will help!
I want a place where there is a lot of history!
Here are some places we were thinking of going to: Lake Arrowhead and Big Big Bear Lake in southern california or Catalina island? Which one?

    Not on your list…
    Mammoth Mountain/Mammoth Lakes.

    It is great skiing in the winter – but I LOVE it more in the summer.

    Beautiful mountains and lakes. You can get fantastic rates because they make all their money in the winter. The summer, they’re hurting for business.

    Great hikes, volcanoes, earthquake faults, waterfalls.

    Just the most beautiful place in California (IMO)

    There are many wonderful and interesting places in Southern California where you can visit with your family, such as, Marina Del Rey, UCLA & Westwood Village, The Grove at Farmers Market, The Universal City Walk, Mann’s Chinese Theatre, La Brea Tar Pits, beautiful La Jolla Beach in San Diego, J. Paul Getty Museum to the amazing LA County Arboretum & Bontanical Garden. I usually visit this informative website: get most of my information on where to go in Southern California.
