what is the best time of the day to view Big Island volcano from an helicopter?

Sunset or night time is the best. It is awesome to see the lava spewing into the ocean. You can also walk to the lava flows but it can take a few hours over rouch terrain. We were just there awesome !!!

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters is good…Make sure you check with the park’s website daily for visibility reports. Sometimes if the lava is flowing the steam from the ocean entry obscures everything.
