What is the average salary for HR Managers on the big Island of Hawaii?
Guam Mom asked:
I am conducting an unofficial survey to determine the cost to relocate from Guam, where the cost of living is high, to Hawaii, where the cost of living is also high. However, I do not know about the salary base in Hawaii (Not Oahu). Since HR is a broad field, this position could be in several industries, but probably in service, financial or tourism areas in Hilo and Kailua-Kona.

Doing a search on MSN I found the salary range differs according to the amount of experience and education. (as of now in Kailua Kona, HI they are advertising a HR position for: 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 USD /year Depends on Experience; req. 2+ to 5 years AND a Bachelor’s Degree.
I’d say your best bet is to to a ‘search on MSN / Career Builder / Yahoo jobs and look for a HR position, because you can specify location and do research on that company, or even call and ask what they would start a ‘HR Manager’ out salary wise.
