What is a really great, romantic, isolated, exoctic Island that my husband and I could go to for cheap?

Lanai, Hawaii. It is one of the most isolated islands in Hawaii, empty beaches and all that. Airfare to honolulu will be cheaper then most other international destinations. ko samui, or one of the smaller lesser known islands in Thailand will be cheaper, and airfare is reasonable to Bangkok.
Islas Revellagigedo off the west coast of Mexico would be a more exotic, less known locale. It will be cheap also, but you will need to route your trip thru mexico.
