Kona, Hawaii?

fana asked:

Hi, i am going on my honeymoon to the Big island, we’re renting a condo in Kona. What are some fun things to do without spending a lot of money? Any help would be appreciated. Keep in mind, neither me or my fiance know how to swim :)

well go to a hotel called waikoloa village and spend one night there. it is SO big you have to use a boat or train to get around. there are nice restaurants, a beach, tidepools, you can rent paddle boats and go look at the fish, you can watch the dolphins, go on a nice walk, and it is very romantic.

keep in mind ALL of this is at that hotel!
    have fun!

I have been to Kona a couple times and on our last trip we took a circle the island tour using Roberts. That’s one of many tour companies in Hawaii. Or, you can do as I did on the trip before that and rent a car for a day or two and go on your own. Things I have done include visiting Volcano National Park to see the lava flow and see the other activities in the park; go horseback riding at the Parker Ranch; drive to see the black sand beaches, and visit Akaka Falls park. And you will of course enjoy the beaches.
